There are more famous people with genital herpes than you can shake a stick at. Whether they are famous for their health or what they have done to get famous is irrelevant. They are all still just human.
And they all seem to be doing pretty well. Not only is the number of people who contract herpes small but it seems to be a fairly localized disease, affecting mostly individuals in their 20’s and 30’s. The best analogy I can think of is that they are like the homeless guy who gets hit by a bus and then dies.
The number of people who contracted genital herpes (or any other sexually transmitted disease) in the last year was less than 1 percent of the population. The same is true of HIV, the virus which causes AIDS. It seems that the world is slowly coming to accept that the best way to prevent these diseases is to keep your genital area clean and use condoms.
The fact is, the world doesn’t seem to be getting that. In fact, the number of HIV/AIDS cases seems to be rising. The good news is that the epidemic is on the rise, but this is the problem. It’s not just an issue of the fact that people aren’t using condoms. It’s also a problem of our ignorance.
Its not just that people are not using their condoms. Its also that we don’t know how to use them. Or in other words, we know how to protect ourselves, but we don’t know how to protect ourselves from people who are probably using them on us.
So what do we do? Well, we use condoms. But, as someone who has herpes, I can tell you that, at least for me, the best protection against it is the herpes condom. For those of you who don’t have herpes, the best we can do is to use condoms. A lot of people don’t realize how dangerous it is to have herpes, but you should always be using condoms, to be on the safe side.
So where did the title “famous people with genital herpes” come from? We would like to think that it’s a reference to pop-culture icons like Marilyn Manson and Marilyn Brown. But the idea that a group of people are in fact famous for having herpes is fairly new in the world of herpes outbreaks, and we’re still learning how to deal with the stigma. Although some people believe that herpes is contagious, the majority of herpes outbreaks are not.
It’s a new virus that first emerged in the late 90’s, but it is not transmitted from person to person. One way to spread herpes is by getting an infected lesion under the skin, this is called “shingles,” or from the virus itself. The other way is through sexual contact. People with herpes will usually have a “clear” skin lesion, meaning that their white blood cells are not infected.
In our experience, the more you do everything you can to avoid getting shingles (including getting a vasectomy), the more likely you are to get herpes. But that doesn’t mean you have to get herpes. It’s worth it to know whether your partner has herpes.
When a herpes infection or shingles occurs, you’ve probably also been given a shot of Valtrex (a medicine used to treat herpes), and after that you’re at high risk for genital herpes infection. The risk drops when you have no symptoms of the disease and the rash, which usually appears a few days to a week after the first herpes infection, has faded away. But even if you do get herpes, it may take months to show any signs of it.
