For others it is the worst part because they feel that they are hurting their body physically.

That sounds like a terrible way to die (like a cow or a rat eating your favorite ice cream), but it’s actually a better way to die. Pumping is like an anaerobic bacteria that produces lactic acid, which is a naturally occurring acid which is used to destroy harmful cells. When you stop pumping, the lactic acid dissolves your body, and you die.
